I am psychologist with 40+ years of experience working with adults who struggle with Depression, Anxiety, Relationship issues and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. I draw from extensive traditional training as well as existential and energy-based therapies. I believe in treating the whole person and honoring the ways stressful experiences can affect the mind, body, emotions and spirit. Together we can explore not only what you are experiencing , but also the deeper patterns and responses that may be keeping you feeling stuck. I use EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) and trauma focused intensive therapy to help individuals heal from core wounds and relationship/attachment injury. If traditional talk therapy has not brought you the relief you hoped for, trauma-informed EMDR can offer you a different path-helping you to work through experiences and emotional patterns that may continue to affect you, even when you understand them intellectually. EMDR goes beyond understanding your experiences and helps you process what still may be held in your emotional and nervous systems. I am also certified as a Death Doula through the University of Vermont. I support individuals who are navigating the dying process, as well as family members and loved ones seeking guidance, compassion, and emotional support during this profound transition.
