Treatment Approach
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: I'll teach you techniques such as mindfulness meditation, somatic, and emotion regulation to help you get your mind, emotions, and body integrated. Using these skills, you can feel more control of your emotions and thoughts instead of letting them control you. Through EMDR, you can overcome the effects of past trauma and stuck beliefs.

My clients often come from a Christian background but don’t want “Christian counseling”. I am an expert on faith deconstruction, purity culture/sexual shame, and religious trauma. I help you figure out your beliefs and make choices aligned with your values. You can feel freedom from your past and at peace in your faith. Together, we will reach your goals.
The main treatments I use are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). DBT is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy that blends mindfulness meditation, interpersonal skills, and emotion regulation skills to help you improve your mood, reduce stress, and get along better with others. I tailor my treatment approach for each client’s needs. Regardless of what brings you to therapy and what your goals are, I provide a nonjudgmental, accepting, and validating atmosphere for my clients.
I have special training in addressing religion and spirituality in therapy. However, I welcome clients of all faith backgrounds and respect your choice to incorporate your beliefs into therapy.
