I have been working with people for over 25 years and love to see people take flight and fly again in their lives. I never judge you or what you have done or who you tell me you are. Rather, I help you discern what you WANT to be and what you want to do and work to help you be and do that. My job is to help you become the very best you you can be. I encourage, support, comfort, challenge, and do all of these with humor and warmth. I simply don't think there is any other way for me to work.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: My goal, as a psychologist, is to help you achieve YOUR goals. I have been working with people as a psychologist for 25 years and allow you, the client, and your needs/goals determine the kind of therapy that would seem to be the most helpful. Drawing from a rich background and extensive training, I focus on you: your hopes, your struggles, your desire for a better life. I do not "run you through" some pre-set approach or process...that would disrespect you and something I would never do. Rather, I pull from my rich background, education, experience, and training as it seems appropriate and helpful to you. We'll work together on what YOU want and need and help you make the changes in your life you want. Less pain...more life!
