At Haven Psychology Group, we believe finding the right therapist matters just as much as deciding to begin therapy. Our team includes doctoral-level psychologists with complementary specialties, allowing us to think carefully about the person behind the inquiry rather than simply assigning the next available provider. We offer thoughtful, evidence-based care for adolescents and adults dealing with concerns ranging from anxiety, trauma, and relationship difficulties to emotional dysregulation, addiction, and complex life transitions. Begin with a free consultation, and we will help determine which Haven psychologist and treatment approach may be the best fit.

Treatment Approach

  • Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
Approach Description: Our psychologists combine evidence-based treatment with a warm, collaborative approach. Depending on the clinician and client's needs, therapy may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy, motivational and strengths-based approaches, trauma-focused treatment, and other evidence-based methods. For clients who want faith to be part of therapy, Christian values can also be thoughtfully integrated at the client's request. Treatment is individualized rather than one-size-fits-all, with an emphasis on understanding the patterns keeping someone stuck and helping them make changes that hold outside of the therapy session.

Haven Psychology Group Practice Description
Haven Psychology Group is a psychologist-led practice offering private-pay and out-of-network telehealth with doctoral-level psychologists across many states through PSYPACT. Our psychologists bring complementary areas of expertise, allowing us to match clients thoughtfully rather than expecting one therapist to be the right fit for every concern. Areas of focus across our telehealth team include anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, addiction and recovery, relationship difficulties, grief, emotional dysregulation, personality-related concerns, and major life transitions. Haven also has specialized expertise in comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Comprehensive DBT coordinates individual therapy, skills training, between-session phone coaching, and a DBT clinician consultation team, with family or parent involvement when clinically indicated. Treatment is evidence-based but never one-size-fits-all. Depending on the clinician and the client's needs, therapy may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, motivational and trauma-focused approaches, and other evidence-based methods. Christian faith and values can also be thoughtfully incorporated when requested by the client. This TherapyTribe profile represents our private-pay and out-of-network telehealth services. We can provide documentation for clients who wish to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance plan, although reimbursement is determined by the individual plan. If you are unsure which psychologist would be the best fit, you do not need to decide before contacting us. Begin with a free consultation, and we will learn more about what you are looking for and help connect you with the Haven psychologist whose expertise, approach, and availability best fit your needs.
