I believe that each of us has a depth of sparkle and strength. This inner reserve has often been buried by trauma, stress and demands of life. I love to work with clients to uncover their passions, spirit and resources to approach their life work in a more balanced and mindful way.
Client Focus
Session Format: Group, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult
Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Hakomi Method A mindfulness-based approach that helps clients notice unconscious patterns in their body and mind. It emphasizes compassion and non-judgment.
- Schema Therapy Identifies deep-rooted negative patterns formed in childhood. It combines CBT, attachment theory, and experiential methods for change.
Approach Description: I work in a way to is client centred, intuitive and evidence based. I work to match the best therapy with the individual and am responsive to feedback in finding a therapy that fits. Rather then trying to fit a client into a given therapy, I work to fit the therapy with the client. I use a blend of 20 years of therapy experience and trainings that include, among others, Schema Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, DBT, ACT, Exposure and Response Prevention, Hakomi Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.

My method is a unique blend of Schema therapy with somatic, creative and mindful modalities. These therapies blend together to create work that is meaningful and at the same time practical. Whether we are tuning into the body or grounding with drawing, we work to connect and explore in a mindful and present way. Through my therapy people build insight, become more self aware and ultimately create meaningful change.
