At KDW we are passionate about empowering individuals to change the way they relate to themselves and those in their lives. Our philosophy focuses on the individual to understand how attachment trauma and insecurities influence the quality of their relationships. We are a trauma-informed practice that prioritizes establishing a sense of safety to allow the opportunity to explore how the nervous system and formative experiences influence how we react to situations in our lives and relationships. Sessions function to help you navigate difficult experiences, build resilience, and develop the skills you need to thrive. Whether you are facing a difficult transition, coping with a broken relationship, coming to terms with your childhood experience, dealing with a complicated family dynamic, wanting skills to manage an ADHD diagnosis, recovering from burnout, or simply looking for ways to improve your overall well-being, we are here to guide you. Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
  • Developmental Therapy Looks at how childhood and developmental experiences affect current challenges. It aims to repair unmet needs and foster healthy growth.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
  • Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Neuropsychology Examines how brain function affects thinking, memory, and behavior. It often involves assessment and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: I will meet you where you are and integrate an approach that meets your needs. I lean towards treatment modalities that create the space to process and let go of what is holding you back. Most of my clients experience a meaningful breakthrough within the first five sessions, with continued improvements in their therapeutic goals.

  • Average Session Fee 150
  • Affordable sliding scale therapy: apply if you may be eligible.
  • We recognize that therapy is an important investment, and we want to make it as accessible as possible. For those who may not be able to pay the full session fee, we offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. Eligibility is based on individual circumstances, and a brief consultation is required to determine whether a reduced rate is available. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss this option further.
