Confronting pain requires bravery and self-awareness, but you don't have to go it alone. With the right professional support, meaningful, sustainable change is achievable. I have operated an individual, private practice since 2016, offering a unique blend of Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This combination allows me to work both practically, with clear tools and strategies, and relationally, exploring the deeper narratives and beliefs that shape how you see yourself and others. My approach is deeply relational and dynamic. I work collaboratively and with empathy to help you confront the stories you carry about yourself, and where relevant, about others too. Many clients come to me having built strong defensive traits over years, often as a result of difficult upbringings or unresolved trauma. My role is to create a space where those defences can soften enough for real change to happen. In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I spent over 20 years as Director of my own company, which gives me genuine insight into the pressures of professional and business life. I frequently work with people who are highly successful by external measures but privately struggling, helping them navigate the personal and professional dynamics that success alone doesn't resolve.

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
- Transactional Analysis Explores interactions through the lens of Parent, Adult, and Child roles. It aims to improve communication and self-awareness.
Approach Description: We begin with an initial call and assessment, covering your health history, key relationships, and what's brought you to seek treatment now. From there, we shape a body of work together, mapping out the sessions likely needed and discussing suitable referral options if your needs are better met elsewhere.
Sessions run face-to-face or online, by video or phone, depending on what suits you. There’s no requirement to have your camera on during online sessions. What matters is that you're comfortable enough to show up, open up, and do the work.
