Our work meets you where you are—inviting healing that’s felt in the body, nourishes the spirit, and deepens connection to self and others. Using AEDP, EMDR, and body-based therapy, I guide clients to feel safely, release old patterns, and reconnect with who they truly are—so they can live with more authenticity, ease, and emotional freedom.

Client Focus

Age Specialty: Adult, Senior, Teen, Young Adult

Treatment Approach

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) Trauma-informed therapy that helps individuals explore deeply held, painful emotional experiences within a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Combines low doses of ketamine with psychotherapy to treat depression, trauma, and anxiety. It can provide relief when other methods haven’t worked.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: I combine experiential and dynamic elements to heal emotional trauma. I help you access and transform stuck emotional patterns, and integrate positive experiences into your sense of yourself. Together, we work to create a secure, empathic environment where you feel safe enough to explore your emotions. I work to create an attunement to your emotional state, allowing you to form a deep connection based on trust and support. We work together to heal emotional wounds, including past experiences of trauma, anxiety, and depression.

Melissa Crisp Practice Description
I am a certified AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) therapist. AEDP is a relational, experiential therapy that helps heal emotional and attachment wounds through safe, attuned connection. It supports you in moving from protection and pain toward healing and transformation. While AEDP forms the foundation of my work, I integrate several powerful modalities to support your unique healing journey: -EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A tool for reprocessing traumatic memories, reducing their emotional intensity, and helping you move forward with greater ease. -Somatic and Relational Therapy: Techniques that help regulate your nervous system, ease anxiety, and restore a grounded sense of calm in your body. -Psychedelic therapy/Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): I provide therapeutic support during ketamine sessions and other psychedelic-assisted treatments, guiding you safely through these experiences as part of your healing process. -Psychedelic Integration Therapy: For those exploring psychedelic experiences outside of clinical sessions, I help you make meaning of your journeys and apply insights to your daily life. You don’t need to decide which approach is right—that’s my role. Together, we’ll discover the best path forward so you can feel more connected, resilient, and whole.
