Treatment Approach

  • EMDR
  • Gottman Method
  • Person-Centered
Approach Description: Eye Movement Desensitizaton and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) therapy is a structured way to help people who have experienced trauma. It involves focusing briefly on the traumatic memory while also experiencing side-to-side eye movements. These eye movements can make the memory less intense and emotional. Research shows that EMDR therapy is effective in helping people recover from trauma and symptoms of PTSD. It has also been found to be helpful for conditions like anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, and addiction. My Couples Approach: The Gottman Method - The Gottman Method Therapy for couples is a structured and evidence-based approach to helping couples improve their relationships. Developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, it focuses on strengthening communication, resolving conflicts, and building trust and intimacy. The therapy aims to teach couples how to better manage conflicts, enhance their friendship and intimacy, and ultimately build a stronger and more satisfying relationship. It is known for its scientific foundation and has been widely used to assist couples in improving their marriages and partnerships. I am also trained to treat trauma and affairs in couples.
