Treatment Approach
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: I believe therapy should feel practical, supportive, and focused on real change, not confusing or overly clinical. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person or couple I work with. Together, we look at patterns in thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships, and how those patterns may be keeping you stuck or disconnected. As we build awareness, we also work on developing new ways of responding that feel more aligned with who you want to be.
I help clients learn how to manage difficult emotions, quiet self criticism, and respond more intentionally rather than reacting out of habit or stress. For couples, this often means improving communication, strengthening emotional connection, and learning how to navigate conflict in healthier ways. For individuals, it may involve increasing self understanding, building confidence, and creating a stronger sense of meaning and direction in life.
When past experiences continue to impact the present, I use trauma informed methods to help process those experiences safely and at your pace. This allows many clients to feel less overwhelmed by memories or emotional triggers and more grounded in the present. I also integrate mindfulness and body awareness to help you stay connected to what you are feeling in the moment, rather than becoming disconnected or stuck in your head.
Throughout our work, I focus on identifying strengths, values, and resilience, not just problems. Therapy is not only about reducing symptoms. It is also about helping you build a life and relationships that feel more fulfilling, authentic, and sustainable.

Whether you are struggling with the present or carrying the weight of past experiences, I can help. I specialize in working with individuals and couples around relationships, sexuality, identity, and emotional wellbeing. If you are feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to build the kind of relationship or life you want, either with a partner or on your own, our work together can help you create changes that last.
Sex and intimacy can be a powerful source of connection in relationships. When problems arise, they often affect trust, communication, and emotional closeness. I help clients work through concerns related to sexual functioning, desire, shame, and intimacy, with the goal of developing a healthier and more confident relationship with sex and with themselves. I also work with individuals and couples impacted by sex addiction or compulsive sexual behaviors, helping them understand the roots of these patterns, reduce shame, and rebuild trust and stability in their relationships.
I provide LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and work with clients across a wide range of sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures, including non monogamous relationships. You will not need to educate me about your identity or experiences. I offer a supportive and respectful space where you can explore self acceptance, coming out, identity questions, or relationship challenges without judgment. I also work with transgender and gender diverse clients, whether you are questioning this part of yourself or seeking support through transition.
In addition to my work in relationships and sexuality, I have specialized training in trauma informed care, including EMDR. I recognize how past experiences can continue to shape present day relationships, self esteem, and emotional patterns. Together, we work to process these experiences so they no longer have the same hold on your life, allowing you to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.
