My goal at Robin's Nest is to provide a safe place for people to land when they want to work on themselves, but aren't sure where to start. I work with people to hatch new solutions to rebuild and recover. I have over 25 yrs experience working in a variety of settings, and have worked extensively with concussion and brain injury as a complex case manager. This allows me to work collaboratively with someone recognizing that every part of their life is impacted by mental health concerns, substance use, or concussion/brain injury. We explore impacts on daily functioning and interpersonal relationships, and build resiliency and strengthen coping together. I walk along side my clients believing that they are the true experts of their life and know what is best for them. Sometimes it takes some exploratory and supportive conversations to create meaningful and achievable goals for success. I welcome people from all walks of life and experiences and feel honored when my clients allow me to be a part of the journey to improved wellness and growth.

Robin Engen-Johnson Practice Description
My practice focuses on youth, individuals, couples and families who experience a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, difficulty with interpersonal relationships, life transitions and substance use. I provide both clinical counselling and concussion services. With concussion services, this can be individual work on exploring the individual's unique concussion or brain injury outcomes, working with a couple or family to provide education, support, strengthen relationships and build resiliency. I also provide smallgroup experience for people to have shared experience with concussion. Caregiver support can also be key in maintaining strong relationships and preventing burnout with people with moderate to severe brain injury. Caregiver counselling is offered as individual or couple work. Educational and employment support for people with Acquired Brain Injury and return to school/work for people with concussion are specialty areas that I have many years of experience with.
