Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I offer a client-centered, integrative approach grounded in evidence-based practices such as CBT, the Gottman Method, and attachment theory. My work is pragmatic and strengths-based, focusing on skill-building, emotional insight, and meaningful connection. I tailor strategies to each client’s needs—whether addressing anxiety, grief, stress, parenting, relationship dynamics, or life transitions—while respecting cultural values and promoting resilience, self-awareness, and secure relationships.

Individual Counselling
Individual Counselling and/or Psychotherapy sessions are available for people who are in emotional and psychological distress, facing uncertainty or having difficulty dealing with life transitions or a range of life challenges. Distress can take many forms including depression, fear, anxiety or a loss of meaning in life. Counselling can be relatively short term and focus on current personal difficulties, or a longer process which helps people to understand the deeper roots of their present circumstances.
Relationship and Marriage Counselling
Relationship and marriage counselling is for individuals and couples who need to make changes in their present situation. Distress may be caused by difficulties in communication, growing conflict, difficulty with acknowledging or expressing feelings, sexual problems or a range of other factors. This work can help you understand and come to terms with the challenges you are facing in your relationship and help you to work towards your own solutions. Counselling is a positive first step in rebuilding your relationship.
