Wonderful Mess (She/Her)
Counselor/Therapist, Master of Social Work, Diploma of Counselling
In-Person in Sandy Bay, TAS 7005
I am passionate about helping people because of my own story of going through hell and back.
Over the past 9 years, I have gone from not believing mental health was a thing, to severe burnout due to workplace bullying, then a car accident, to educating myself on mental health to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I now see it as my duty to give back, to help others going through what life throws at them. Because, I swear to you, things can get better.
I sincerely believe that we all need counselling at some point (or several points) in our lives.
I am here to tell you that you are not alone. I will hold you hand while you are working through whatever is causing you to struggle, and to uncover all these strengths within you that you may not even know you have.

Treatment Approach
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
Approach Description: While I don't use solely one type of therapy, I am a big believer in the work by Gabor Mate, using compassion to help dig into what is causing you to struggle. A little bit of kindness goes a long way and I find that compassion often helps my clients to look at their struggles from another eye, and to integrate whatever is causing them pain to live a more fulfilling life.

I meet you where you are at, whether you have seen therapists before or this is your first time.
Whatever your situation, I will aim to demonstrate my genuine care for helping you, and my belief that you have got it in you to move towards a future where your struggles have less impact on your and/or your life.
