New Foundation Counseling

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
Dealing with trauma and past hurts, struggling with work, relationships, or addiction, managing depression & anxiety or to better understand one's gender identity or sexuality - it isn't easy to address any of these things. We see therapy as a safe, judgment-free, shame-free, and confidential space, where you are free to vent, confide, cry, discuss, imagine, find strength, and be empowered. Most importantly, therapy is a place for hope to come alive, to learn new coping skills, to achieve personal growth, and to discover you are strong, valuable, and greater than any struggle you might have. Transformation is possible! We realize meeting with a clinician can be anxiety-provoking and can even feel stressful. It does not need to be. We understand how finances, relationships, children, family, & work can create anxiety, worries, stress and even anger. You don't need to live being "weighed down" by these things - therapy can help lessen your burden! You are worth it!

Denver, Colorado therapist: Ruth Weinberg, licensed professional counselor

Ruth Weinberg

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC
I have nearly 20 years of experience working with clients of all ages on a range of issues including relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma and PTSD, self-esteem, shame, disordered eating and stress related to toxic work and family environments. Many of my clients are survivors of physical, sexual and/or narcissistic abuse. These painful experiences require courage and compassion to heal from. Every person has the ability to grow, heal, and thrive. Life's challenges can lead us to lose hope or to believe that we are broken or damaged, but this is untrue! Our true nature and potential may seem absent or hidden but it is there and it cannot be destroyed. By uncovering and rediscovering our strengths and abilities, we can overcome challenges, find meaning and purpose, and live more fulfilling lives. Through the self-discovery process we can learn to find understanding and compassion for even the most feared and hated parts of ourselves. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming.

Lakewood, Colorado therapist: TRS Neurofeedback & Counseling, counselor/therapist

TRS Neurofeedback & Counseling

Counselor/Therapist, Ph.D., LPC, BCN, QEEG-D
I have been practicing Counseling and Neurofeedback for 20 years. I have found that talk therapy often takes a very long time because your brain and nervous system are not able to fully engage in the therapy and you feel like a failure at yet one more thing. My biggest area of expertise is Neurofeeback for anxiety, depression, sleep issues, ADD, memory problems and PTSD. It is typically less expensive than traditional talk therapy and works much faster saving valuable time and money. After Neurofeedback training, additional talk therapy is often not needed. We are also able to help many clients wean off of medications in the process of healing and restoring the brain. We don't create perfectly well behaved children or adults without problems, but our clients say that they are able to face life's challenges with better emotional regulation. My passion is to help each individual find what is blocking their potential and move forward to be everything they can be. I have found that looking at brainwave patterns that may cause dysregulation and then developing treatment plans to train the brain to permanently shift these patterns is the key for many to thriving in mental and emotional health.
