I offer counselling services to children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, addictions, stress management, trauma, ADHD, and eating disorders. I also offer counselling services to couples and am trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which is considered the Gold Standard for treatment.
The counselling models that I use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, all of which I have formal training in. It is crucial for any sex therapist to be trauma-informed. I have trained mental health practitioners to support people who have experienced sexual abuse and who perpetrate violence against others. When I managed a distress line, I led the launch of a crisis support program for people experiencing issues including sexual abuse or related anxiety and depression from trauma. My background also includes trauma-response training through the lens of ADHD relationships (which have a higher propensity for experiencing abuse than the neurotypical population).
