Port Moody, British Columbia therapist: Roxanne Hahn, counselor/therapist
Child or Adolescent Issues

Roxanne Hahn

Counsellor/Therapist, RTC (registered therapeutic counselor)
I support adolescents by creating a space where they feel heard, respected, and understood during a time that can feel overwhelming or confusing. Using narrative therapy, I help teens separate themselves from limiting labels or self-criticism and explore the pressures shaping their identity, relationships, and sense of belonging. I integrate somatic techniques to build emotional awareness and regulation skills, helping them understand how stress, anger, or anxiety show up in the body and how to respond in grounded ways. Together, we strengthen self-trust, communication skills, and resilience so they can navigate family dynamics, friendships, school, and life transitions with greater confidence and clarity.

Vancouver, British Columbia therapist: Tatiana Balashova (Life in Glow Wellness), counselor/therapist
Child or Adolescent Issues

Tatiana Balashova (Life in Glow Wellness)

Counsellor/Therapist
For requests related to children and teenagers, I offer 3-5 consultations to parents or caregivers. Even very subtle internal changes of a caregiver can affect kids behavior. In some cases working with parents is what is enough, in other cases sessions with a child can be beneficial (without a parent) or a session when both a child and parent are present. Art therapy techniques and MACards are used in the session. With adults emotion-image therapy can also be a very powerful method. In terms of age, because I work mainly online in zoom, it is easier usually for kids from 10-12 years old. However I can also offer a shorter session to a child if he/she feel a good connection and trust to be motivated to sit in front of the computer. In you have access to a room without noise in some places in Vancouver area I can offer in-person sessions with art therapy and MACards (commuting time will be extra). Length of the session depends what is manageable for the child. For teenagers and adults it is from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the method and type of session.
