Struggling with addiction can feel overwhelming and isolating — but you don’t have to face it alone. At Feel Your Way Therapy, we offer compassionate, non-judgmental support for individuals navigating substance use challenges.
We understand that addiction is often rooted in deeper emotional pain, trauma, or unmet needs. Our approach focuses not just on managing symptoms, but on helping you explore the underlying patterns driving addictive behaviors.
Using evidence-based therapies and a trauma-informed lens, we work collaboratively to support your healing, rebuild your sense of self, and help you move toward lasting change — at your own pace and on your own terms.
Recovery is not about perfection — it’s about reclaiming your life, one step at a time. We’re here to walk with you on that journey.

Jayne Batten
Counsellor/Therapist, MSc, CT, MPCC, MBACP
Addictions are behaviours in which we engage to enable us to cope with deep emotional pain, usually stemming from some form of trauma in our lives. Social and environmental factors can also play a role in developing addictions. Addictions include the use of alcohol, drugs, sex, pornography, gambling, smoking, shopping, etc. as a way to provide temporary relief from the painful thoughts and negative feelings that arise within us. Over time addictions establish themselves as the go-to relief to cope with our emotions, but at the same time render us less functional. Our relationships, work, and homelife begin to suffer from the consequences of the addiction. Talking therapy can help to uncover and resolve the pain that lies beneath addiction and over time help us to reconnect with our inner selves and to discover and develop behavioural responses to replace the addictive behaviour.

Molly McBride
Counsellor/Therapist, MSc, RCC, RTC
I provide an understanding, judgment-free space to talk about substance use and the compulsions that lead to addiction. We will collaboratively investigate the underlying causes behind these behaviors and start to build healthier strategies into your life. Methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, EMDR, and hypnotherapy, we’ll work on reducing the impact of triggers, bringing calm to the nervous system, and building resilience. My goal is to support you in achieving lasting change and a life aligned with your values.
