New York City, New York therapist: Dr. Lyndsay Elliott, psychologist
Serving Military / Veterans

Dr. Lyndsay Elliott

Psychologist, PsyD.
My approach to therapy is straightforward — understand what is getting in the way, figure out why, and build a clear path forward. I work with adults, couples, and high-achieving professionals who are ready to make real changes, not just talk about them. I am Dr. Lyndsay Elliott, a licensed clinical psychologist with a PsyD and a postdoctoral fellowship from UCLA. For over 20 years I have provided evidence-based psychotherapy, psychological evaluations, consultations and expert witness testimony to clients navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, chronic stress, relationship conflict, narcissistic abuse recovery, couples conflict, infertility, reproductive mental health, postpartum depression, family conflict, and major life transitions. My style is warm and engaged, but also direct. Therapy should be useful — sessions that deliver genuine insight, practical tools, and honest feedback that actually moves the needle. I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused intervention, and trauma-informed care, tailoring every treatment plan to each client's specific goals and circumstances. I am PSYPACT authorized, serving adults and couples via secure telehealth therapy across 40+ states — making expert psychological care accessible wherever you are.

My approach to therapy is thoughtful and grounded in understanding what’s beneath the surface. Valencia, California therapist: TREATMENT AND TOOLS FOR TRAUMA, licensed psychoanalyst
Serving Military / Veterans

TREATMENT AND TOOLS FOR TRAUMA

Licensed Psychoanalyst, PH.D., IN PSYCHOANALYSIS AND NEUROSCIENCE, CERTIFIED PSYCHOANALYST, PSY.A, & LICENSED PSYCHOANALYST
My background is in both psychoanalysis and neuroscience (doctorate) and I am also a Certified and Licensed Psychoanalyst. So I am able to bring both a background in research into mind/brain issues, and I am trained as a clinician. I have been working with trauma for many years, and most recently (2016) I have been working with traumatic brain injury patients (including professional athletes). I am grateful for my dual background in mind/brain, because all brain injured patients require both perspectives. In August of 2023 I published "The Complex Architecture and Healing of Traumatic Brain Injuries: Listening to The Brain" with Cambridge Scholars Publishing in the UK. This is the story (based on case histories) of the journey to find a "healing road" for all persons who have had serious disruptions in brain functioning. This is very, very challenging territory to work in. And in my experience, requires a great collaboration between doctor and patient. I am also the author of "Moon Over Seaville," the story of the hunt for a serial arsonist in Southern California (in 4 Episodes). Available everywhere under "Mystery/Thrillers." I have patients all across the country (via phone). Brain injuries can be healed!

Wondering how to balance your mood, deepen intimacy, and create more connection in your life and relationships? Many people feel disconnected from their bodies, unsure how to express their needs, or caught in patterns that limit closeness, satisfaction, and sexual confidence. Whether you are single, partnered, or moving through a breakup, you can learn to feel at home in your body again and reconnect with what genuinely turns you on and supports your emotional well-being. Research shows that a positive, satisfying sex life, solo or with a partner, can improve your confidence, mood, relationships, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. I’m here to help you become more sensually confident and live a fulfilling, successful life. I am a Certified Sexologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Tibetan Tantra Practitioner. My method is practical and embodied, blending ancient wisdom with scientifically supported approaches to sexual and relational health and nervous system regulation. I work at the intersection of sex, science, and spirituality, offering grounded tools and emotional processing that are easy to apply in real life. I see myself as a guide rather than an authority. Long Beach, California therapist: Luis Maimoni, marriage and family therapist
Serving Military / Veterans

Luis Maimoni

Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
Hi. My name is Luis Maimoni. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in relationships of all kinds. No matter who you are, or where you're coming from, you are the one who will determine where your story begins. I'll meet you where you're at and focus on your strengths. We'll collaborate to find and treat the root cause of your presenting concerns. Underpinning my work is my belief in "tribe" (family and community). Tribes come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, colors, cultures, flavors and configurations (I was raised in a multilingual and multicultural home). Our tribes shape how we feel, how we think, how we relate to others, and how others relate to us (sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, sometimes it's hard to know). I love this work and look forward to learning your story.
