I have worked with many couples who are going through a divorce to help heal the divide both in one self and with the partner, so that in the end we have not waited until all the trauma and damage of the divorce process is over, but we commit to doing that work to heal during the divorce so when it is over we are ready to move forward with our own lives. I often work with both people during the divorce and have worked in concert with the divorce attorneys or mediators to help in decision making so it comes from a conscious place of awareness rather than the unconscious desire to punish, which is temporary and causes undue harm.
