Rai of SonShine Wellness

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
Congratulations on taking a step toward your therapeutic journey! Now that you are here, let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I hold a Master of Social Work degree, earned from the University of Southern California (USC). I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from Charter Oak State College, with a concentration in mental health. With over 17 years in mental health I bring with me a lifelong passion for helping people live their best life unapologetically, proud, and free; a phrase now known widely as “living your best life.” I am successful at this, because of my unique skills and training, along with deep respect for creating a natural therapeutic relationship in a safe space to process daily stressors. It is my strong belief that life is a journey and we are all the experts of our own life. At times, life can be difficult and may leave you feeling unbalanced and overwhelmed. I offer a socially conscious eclectic approach, which includes, decolonizing mental healthcare which seeks to find healing, meaning, and connection through culturally-affirming practices. In addition to evidence based practices like: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength Based, and Mindfulness, which are tailored to fit the needs of each individual.
