Georgina Lloyd

Counsellor/Therapist, MSW, LCSW
I specialise in crisis, trauma, anxiety, and supporting individuals and families living with chronic illness. I use well-established therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s needs, helping individuals develop insight, resilience, and meaningful, lasting change. I work with children, teens, and adults. I am one of fewer than 10 providers of Accelerated Resolution Therapy in the UK, have assisted in ART trainings in the USA and also offer ART consultation/ support to new clinicians. I also offer TF-CBT, and other talk therapies. If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in pain from past experiences, you're not alone and you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a safe, compassionate space to begin healing. Together, we’ll work at your pace. When you're ready, I’m here to help, reach out and let’s take that first step.

Salford, England therapist: Gordon Wax BA HONS MBACP, counselor/therapist
Serving LGBTQ+

Gordon Wax BA HONS MBACP

Counsellor/Therapist, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist
Hi, my name is Gordon. Welcome! I’m am a fully qualified psychotherapist, working both online and in person from my private consulting room in Manchester England. I was born and raised in London. Personal therapy helped me to untangle my relationship with myself and my emotions from others. The world alone is a chaotic place to manage our own unknowns, anxieties, and traumas. I understand that everyone experiences the world in different ways, so unique problems require bespoke responses. Our lives are constantly creating new beginnings, change, and endings, so it’s natural to feel emotions strongly, think differently and respond atypically. I help clients explore all spheres of their life to help them build hope and to cope.

Empowered Wellbeing, Decolonizing Intersectional and Integrative Complex Trauma & Dissociation Recovery Support

Life Coach, view my credentials online at: www.recoveringfromwithin.com/credentialslongform
We started our practice supporting Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse to recover from the effects of their abuse and complex grief, and continue to center that care. Our practice includes support for trauma, complex trauma, dissociation, associated and co-occurring health and chronic health needs, anxiety, depression, addiction, personality disorders. We also offer integrative mental health care for mold toxin and some other environmental toxin exposure, and some TBI and PCS symptoms, as well as support for folks with chronic health related mental health needs that intersect with the above traumas. We offer intersectional care that is decolonizing, supports those impacted by systemic abuse, and supports affirming neurodiversity. We integrate TIST-- Trauma Informed Stabilization Therapy, DBR -- Deep Brain Reorienting to recover from Shock, IFS-- Internal Family Systems Work, PVT-- Polyvagal Theory, AT -- Attachment Theory, Nonviolent Communication, Inner Child Work, IPNB -- Interpersonal Neurobiology, Bonnie Badenoch's IPNB and dyad work, Memory Reconsolidation, Coherence/Existential Level of Care, BrainSpotting, DARE Attachment Model, CranioSacral (for mind, gut, and acute trauma recovery), Mediation/Relational/Partners/Couples Support, Functional Mental Health Care via Psychiatry Redefined Training and BioIndividual Nutrition, Integrative and CAM Health Care (herbalism, homeopathy, remote Traditional Chinese Medicine and other CAM Care), Student-Directed Learning Pedagogies (from Education), compassionate Parenting and inner Re-parenting, ... and a strong Intersectional and Social Justice Framework to support clients to recover from the debilitating effects of traumas and myriad effects of traumas, facilitate clients being centered in their own sense of self, develop healthier boundaries, cultivate self awareness (mindfulness), understand and parse power structures for healthy discernment ... and move towards more fulfilling self actualization that is compassionate, inclusive and also eco-relationally congruent. We are a POC/GM Practice with a decolonizing orientation and Intersectional framework. Red lines are red lines -- we don't support abuses of power systemically and culturally. We are supportive of indigenous peoples and other systemically marginalized peoples, and their rights to safety, parity, sovereignty and dignity. If you are interested in support, we'd love to work with you! Our focus has been on supporting adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma and torture, folks recovering from narcissistic trauma, folks recovering from oppressive hegemonic systemic trauma and/or folks recovering from these traumas along with recovering from toxic mold exposure. We do work with individuals with other needs who are active and engaged bystanders and activists advocating alongside the most systemically oppressed for systemic change for the greater good of the whole global community, prioritizing care for the most marginalized. We also support those who are actively stopping and recovering from committing moral injury and boundary transgressions and willingly doing the work to repair and become bystanders with their privilege rather than violent enactors. This is a no mass media and state propaganda zone. If you are interested in support, please ask! We'd love to work with you. Life can feel hard. I’m dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I often incorporate mindfulness techniques to support clients through challenging situations including grief, loss, abandonment, relationship issues, as well as anxiety and depression. If you're feeling stuck for any reason, I can offer a safe, holding space to listen to you and work with you to gently challenge how you think, feel and behave. I'll work at your pace and may use mindfulness or creative interventions to aid our work together, as well as grounding techniques to turn down any overwhelm or white noise. I also do 2-chair work to help with ways of communicating, as well as processing loss and bereavement.

Robert Thompson

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, UKCP, MBACP.
The modern world can be a frantic place, one where demands are constant and space is limited. Therapy offers you a chance to pause and take stock, to become more aware of your feelings and to re-examine the choices you are making in a reflective and constructive way. I aim to provide a supportive relationship within which you can safely explore and better understand yourself and your relationships. I take an active role in helping you investigate a broader range of options than at first may present themselves. Therapy invites you to expand the limits of your imagination. I wish to encourage confidence and a resilience in managing feelings of doubt or despair, and to help find a positive and affirming way ahead.

Warrington is a Cheshire town positioned between Manchester and Liverpool that has evolved from its industrial roots in wire manufacturing and chemicals into a significant logistics, retail, and corporate hub, and this economic transition shapes the workplace stress and mental health concerns that residents bring to therapy. NHS mental health services are provided through Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, and a private therapy sector serves those looking for faster access to care. The town has experienced significant growth and regeneration, attracting both young professionals and families, and the pressures of a commuter lifestyle within the northwest's busy transport corridor are common therapy themes. Common concerns include anxiety, depression, work-life balance, and relationship stress, and telehealth has expanded access to specialist practitioners beyond what is available locally.
