We can sometimes feel overwhelmed by grief, by the loss of a loved one, relationship breakdown, loss of a beloved pet, ours or others' poor health, jobs and careers or financial security amongst other things. This can present as anger and shock, guilt, disbelief and deep sadness. These emotions can affect our physical health such as poor sleep, lack of appitite and our mental health such as depression. These are normal emotions and part of greiving and there is no one way to experience it or indeed a definitive time. Loss can be experienced for weeks or years.
Counselling can help you explore these feelings, understand them and work though them helping you acknowledge and accept the process you are going throught in a safe and gentle way.

Loss and grief can take many forms including bereavement, job loss and relationship breakdown. These experiences are often devastating, and impact each person differently, leading to a cascade of difficult emotions overwhelming you all at once. I specialise in supporting you to navigate these incredibly difficult moments in life, with a view to recovering and rebuilding.

Grief is probably the most painful emotional experience we have as humans. Assuming we live long enough we all come to experience the pain of loss. At times it can feel like its just too much to bear. Getting past grief is something a therapist can help you with. I would like to meet with you to see what can be done to help you. This will enable us to get to know each other and see if we can work together. It’s important for you to work with someone you trust and feel safe with.
