I posit that if therapists are to achieve positive outcomes in their attempts to improve and restore emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual intimacy significant attention should be given to the level of engagement and interaction between couples. Using the humanistic approach I am often able to help couples understand that marital intimacy is not a constant and will change from time to time.
