Daytona Beach, Florida therapist: Ellen Fontaine, therapist
EMDR

Ellen Fontaine

Therapist, MSW, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern
I feel so privileged to be a therapist. I am constantly humbled by client’s ability to be vulnerable, which shows a deep courage. I value authenticity, connection, trust, and curiosity. I will use these values to help guide our process. I am eager to break negative cycles, not only for myself, but for others too. Although I am warm and empathetic, I also do not f**k around with healing, so I will be real with you. I am ready when you are.

Emerge Counseling Solutions, LLC - Liz Overpeck

Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC, MA
Two of my deepest held beliefs that I get to live out in my work as a therapist is my belief in the inherent worth of each person and the unlimited potential that lies within all of us. Counseling with me is a shame free space. I thrive in being able to create safety in sharing, connection in being well understood, and assistance in helping people more fully express their experiences in life.

Janette Cross

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, EMDR
I am an INFJ (Myers-Briggs) who also enjoys being extraverted at times and I am an Enneagram Type 6 (counter-fearful) Wing 5. I intentionally limit the number of clients I have a week so I can invest in preparing for sessions and being fully present. I love to learn about the brain and body connection and how it ties into our everyday life personally and professionally with clients. I have been known to laugh and cry with clients. Anything I encourage my clients to do, I would also be willing to do.

Hollister, California therapist: Dr. Kelly Smith, psychologist

Dr. Kelly Smith

Psychologist, Ph.D.
I am here for the person who has seen and experienced events that are "not average" or healthy. Events that you cannot just “forget.” In my life journey, I gained a lasting respect for the profession of healing and wanted to pass that same healing along to others. I worked hard to become a compassionate, understanding, and experienced psychologist. I have a wide range of skills and techniques that I use to help my clients heal, grow, and change. Change and growth are hard, but it is one of the most worthwhile experiences you can engage in. I help people who want to change and grow, learn the skills to do so Are you struggling with sleeplessness, having dreams of being there again, always trying to get your brain to shut down so you can relax, feeling shame, guilt, anger, and numbness? Are you having images just push their way into your brain reminding you of that thing, those people, that feeling? Do they teach you how to do your job, but not how to deal with the consequences? You are fine when surrounded by others who understand, but when you have to go home or lose that comradery... You feel inadequate, a disappointment, or a burden because you cannot explain to your family why you are not there for them or why you are so worried or angry about certain things. Once you accept how much control you really can have in your recovery...and take responsibility to learn the tools... you can turn things around. You can do things that you want to do rather than accept that you are going to be damaged and struggle with certain things. You can connect with your family again and be happy. You can sleep soundly and think clearly.
