If a person has a negative view of their body image, it usually stems from negative experiences where a child was made to feel unloved or unsafe around others, if they were the target of some negative judgment, abuse, or trauma. If a belief was formed that they were not good enough/ pretty enough/ perfect enough/ big enough/ safe enough, or felt they had to comply with abuse from a caregiver whom they depended on, or they feel too different compared to others, it affects the way they see themselves and impacts their ability to connect with other people in a healthy way. An example of another such belief can look like "I want to feel/ look attractive, but attractive people get abused/ assaulted". Rapid Transformational Therapy is incredibly effective at helping a person see how those beliefs of poor body/ self-image were trying to help them or protect them. They can then be compassionately released, and new beliefs of empowerment and acceptance created in their place.
