This may be the answer to a relationship that goes passed its expiration date, or it can seem like the solution to refusing to look at our own contributions. Divorce is very complicated. It bring mixed feelings and can be filled with high levels of animosity. A "good" divorce, i.e. amicable, is better for children than a "bad", i.e violent / unhealthy, marriage. Again, insecurities and co-dependency issues often keep people in bad relationships. If you cannot fix your relationship, or you have a partner that refuses to change, there may not be any other solutions. If that's the case, do it cordially and with respect.
