As an ally to LGBTQ+ people, I am committed to providing you with high quality service that suits your needs. Wherever on the rainbow you are, know that you are accepted and respected. I have some experience in this area, but hesitate to call myself an expert because, as you know, unless you are living and being in the world as an LGBTQ+ - you don't *really* know. However, I get regular training as an ally and am truly open to hearing your experience plus I bring 20+years of therapeutic knowledge of working with LGBTQ+ to the table.  

I began working to understand LGBTQIA+ experiences as a volunteer at a crisis hotline during college. As a graduate student, I was part of a team who developed a scale to measure ally development. Throughout my private practice, I have worked to make sure that my office is a supportive space for individuals of all orientations.  

I have worked with the LGBTQ + community for many years and view this population as any other but I am also aware of special issues.  

I have been a long time ally of the LGBTQI+ community. I have worked with many individuals and couples to help navigate some of the challenges that can come from family dynamics, workplace politics and the general social climate of the country.
