I work with professionals who find themselves torn between the life they have & the life they want to have. You’ve been playing it safe & doing what’s expected of you, but you’re not quite satisfied. You’re afraid to give your all because you don’t know if you will be able to handle what comes next. The judgment. The pressure. The spotlight. You’ve read lots of self-help books, & tried to DIY the process of change with lackluster results. You’ve tried medication or at least thought about it, but you know it’s just a tool & not a cure-all. You haven’t really had the therapy experience that you needed, but you’re ready to try again.
I know that you are doing the best that you can. Even if no one else can see it. Carving out time for yourself can be a challenge when you are always on the go and being pulled in a million directions. Working with me will allow you to leverage my knowledge and expertise as a psychologist so that you can achieve ten times more with less internal conflict, resistance and emotional disturbance. Let's connect and talk more about steering you in the right direction.
Working with me will allow you to leverage my knowledge and expertise as a psychologist so that you can work smarter, and not harder. Let's connect and talk more about how to get you moving in the right direction.

I love helping my clients address issues with sleep, anxiety, mood, and past traumatic experiences. For me, helping others as a psychologist is a true passion. When appropriate, I use evidence-based therapy, which has clinical research supporting its effectiveness. I routinely offer couples and grief counseling. I've been told by my clients that I clearly take my job seriously and prepare well for sessions, always eager to bring them the relief that they're seeking in a thoughtful and targeted way. I don't stretch treatment out any longer than needed. As far as my unique characteristics as a therapist, I believe that humor plays an important role in treatment, and that therapists who are willing to be self-disclosing and genuine develop stronger, more meaningful connections with their clients. I see therapy as a very personal process -- far more so than other types of health visits -- and that forming a real relationship is a key component of mental health treatment. I find that one definite benefit of such a relationship is that I'm able to offer my clients truthful, direct feedback, as they always know that any challenging remarks are coming from a caring and compassionate place. Along these lines, I belief that it's a therapist's job to routinely encourage their clients to push beyond their comfort zones and make bold changes.

I work with a wide variety of common and uncommon issues, with adults, teens and children ... non-drug approaches for ADHD; testing and treating children, teens, and adults; using therapeutic techniques and helping parents with children's problem behaviors. I've spent years assessing and treating ADHD and have a deep understanding of a variety of approaches to treat it, including medication, nutritional/herbal, and neurofeedback. I help adults get through depression, anxiety, relationship and work problems, and to move from getting out of a problem to enhancing and finding meaning and engagement in life. Your life should, ultimately, be the antidepressant!
