Beth Janis
Psychologist, Ph.D.
Our bodies and brains are hardwired to take care of us, to look out for danger, and to alert us of anything that may go awry. But what do we do when our internal alarm systems have over-adapted and are now overactive? I work with clients in reframing their relationship with anxiety: to identify and navigate current stressors, to uncover their beliefs fueling their anxious cycles, to build their perceptions of self-efficacy in the face of stressors, and to lessen their fear of fear itself.

Aria Fraser
Hypnotherapist, Certified Rapid Transformational Therapist
We are not born with most fears; the only fears that all babies are born with are a fear of falling/ being dropped, and fear of loud noises; every other fear is learned, with an origin in a negative experience (usually at a young age), with the thing that is feared. It can also be used as a coping mechanism in place of something else, such as to avoid certain situations or other feelings. Anxiety that has reached a higher-than-normal level can also be learned, and arises when your nervous system keeps telling you that you're in danger (even with inherently non-dangerous events like tests and public speaking), and also has roots in negative childhood experiences that have led to a belief that a person would be rejected or not good enough, or they felt not safe. Rapid Transformational Therapy is very effective at identifying how the fear or anxiety was created as a survival or coping skill. Once its cause is identified, it can be reframed, interrupted, and the subconscious mind can then focus on sending messages of safety and coping beliefs to calm the nervous system. The personalized recording focuses on these messages, as well as on visualizations of feeling the opposite of fear when the situations/ things that evoked it are encountered. The person's nervous system will calm more easily and quickly through the repetition of the new empowering subconscious beliefs, and amazing coping skills will develop. Other coping mechanisms/ skills that calm the nervous system for everyday stresses can be advised if needed, and ongoing support will be available.
