Impulse Control Disorders (ICDs) encompass a range of conditions characterized by difficulty in resisting the urge to engage in behaviors that can be harmful to oneself or others. These may include disorders like Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Kleptomania, and Compulsive Gambling. Individuals with ICDs often experience intense feelings of tension or excitement before acting on their impulses, followed by remorse or regret afterward.
