Dr. Weston Donaldson
Psychologist, PhD, ABPP
As an LGBTQ+ person, you've probably gotten pretty good at figuring things out for yourself. But then life throws you a curveball you can't simply think your way through, problem-solve your way out of, or grit your teeth and muscle through forever.
Maybe you're grieving someone you lost - or something that others don't even recognize as a loss. Maybe your relationship has changed, your health isn't what it used to be, or you're caring for someone you love and wondering how much longer you can keep going. You may be functioning just fine on the outside, while feeling pretty damn exhausted on the inside.
I'm Dr. Weston Donaldson, a gay psychologist and founder of Proud Heart Therapy Services, LLC. I help LGBTQ+ adults coping with grief, loss, trauma, and complicated transitions that come with getting older. Being part of the queer community means I bring a familiarity with our relationships, chosen families, histories, and experiences that can make these challenges more complex. You shouldn't have to spend your therapy sessions explaining why your relationships matter or why a particular loss has hit you so hard.
For me, the magic sauce of therapy is relationship. You can bring the messy feelings, the contradictions, the things you're not sure you're supposed to say out loud. My job isn't to tell you how you should feel or hand you a generic set of coping skills. It's to help you understand what's happening, reconnect with your own wisdom, and figure out what you want your life to look from here on out.
You don't have to stop grieving, have everything figured out, or know exactly what you need before reaching out. If you're tired of going through this time alone, let's talk. I'd be glad to hear what's going on and see whether we're a good fit.

Has betrayal shattered your sense of safety and trust? Are you struggling with sex or pornography addiction, compulsive sexual behaviours, or the devastating impact these experiences can have on your relationship? You don’t have to navigate this alone.
I’m a Sex Addiction Therapist & Coach and Partner Trauma Therapist & Coach, with advanced clinical training through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). I specialize in betrayal trauma, infidelity, sex and pornography addiction, compulsive sexual behaviours, and relationship recovery.
My approach is client-centred, attachment-based, and grounded in compassion, authenticity, and a deep understanding of the emotional wounds that betrayal and addiction can create. I provide a safe, confidential, and judgment-free environment where you can speak openly, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you’ve experienced.
Whether you’re struggling to regain your footing after betrayal, seeking recovery from compulsive sexual behaviours, or trying to rebuild trust and connection, I will meet you where you are. Together, we will work toward emotional safety, healthier boundaries, greater self-awareness, and meaningful, lasting change.
For those navigating the immediate aftermath of discovering betrayal, I also offer Post-Discovery Rapid Response, a specialized 90-minute coaching session designed to provide support, stabilization, and direction during those first overwhelming hours and days.

Alignment Psychotherapy, PLLC
Psychologist, LP, PhD
Our practice is grounded in a deep appreciation for the diverse experiences that shape each person’s life. Our founder grew up in Jamaica, Queens, surrounded and supported by three generations of remarkable women—an experience that continues to inform the values of care, resilience, and community that guide our work today. Across our practice, we have the privilege of supporting individuals from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, gender identities, and socioeconomic experiences, each bringing their own unique perspectives and concerns. As a practice founded by a Black, queer, first-generation college graduate, we hold a strong awareness of how power, privilege, and systemic forces shape daily life and mental health. We also recognize the vulnerability it takes to seek therapy. Our work is informed not only by clinical expertise, but by a deep respect for the courage and commitment involved in pursuing healing and meaningful change. This perspective shapes our intention to create a space that is thoughtful, affirming, and responsive to the full complexity of our clients’ lived experiences.

Owelleth Mental Health
Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT, MedFT
I am deeply passionate about being a therapist it is much more than a career to me and shows in the work I do, as well as the ongoing learning and trainings I am continually seeking. I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen, safe, and understood—often for the first time. I am especially drawn to working with trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, grief, and the relational challenges that shape this. Many of my clients identify as "neurodivergent (ADHD, autism, AuDHD) and struggle with things like low self-esteem, perfectionism, and expressing needs/wants. Often this can affect how and who we love, function, and navigate major life transitions like divorce, parenting, career, grief, and medical care-taking. I don’t view therapy as “fixing” people, but as walking alongside them as they reconnect with their strengths, rewrite painful patterns, and build relationships rooted in security and self-trust. This work matters to me because I have seen how powerful it is when someone realizes their story makes sense—and that change is possible. My focus is on building a safe and trusting relationship where I get to know you as an individual without judgement. I have worked in hospitals, schools, community/public health, but nothing has brought me as much joy and fulfillment as private practice.

Tam Nguyen-Louie
Psychologist, Ph.D.
I take a multicultural approach to resolving past, present, and family of origin issues impacting you. I focus on adults struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I am passionate about treating the whole individual, not just your "symptoms" by incorporating culture, identity, upbringing, and other past experiences. I work to treat the root causes of your distress, not just apply a bandaid.
