Dr Todd Giardina

Psychologist, PhD, Counseling Psychology
Have you felt "stuck" and unable to make that change you so desire? Do you hear from people that you're "not living up to your potential" or "you're so great," but you just don't feel it? Are your relationships plagued by anxiety or distress? These are the things I am expert in managing. I focus largely on work with women, being that I can "speak" the male and female language and navigate relationship issues. I also take a feminist, empowerment focus in our work - we build on your specific strengths, and take into account your objective limitations. Everyone can find happiness, let's find yours, together!

Miami Beach, Florida therapist: Adrian Pinckney, licensed clinical social worker
Integrative

Adrian Pinckney

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
I believe meaningful change begins within a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and genuine human connection. Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. As a licensed clinical social worker, I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the emotional demands of everyday life. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and tailored to each individual's unique experiences, values, and goals. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I collaborate with clients to develop practical strategies while exploring the deeper patterns that influence emotional well-being. Whether you're working through a difficult chapter, healing from past experiences, or striving for greater clarity and resilience, therapy can be a powerful investment in yourself. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they build insight, strengthen their emotional health, and create lasting, meaningful change.

Clifton, New Jersey therapist: Dr. Mike Abrams, psychologist
Integrative

Dr. Mike Abrams

Psychologist, PhD, MBA, ABPP
I limit my practice to a few clients with whom I can offer meaningful help. I do not think it is ethical for a psychologist to agree to work with someone who has a problem outside of their expertise or someone who has barriers that the psychologist suspects they cannot overcome. When I conclude that I can help someone, I collaborate with them while applying the most appropriate methods for their problems. I choose these methods from among the many I have studied or developed. This is sometimes called a Transdiagnostic Integrative technique. Here, a clinical label or diagnosis is less important than the unique collection of symptoms a person is living with. I also make sure that I come to understand the client's point of view, how their adversities, their personal philosophy, and their level of suffering combine to lead to their anxiety, depressed mood, or even anger. When the client agrees, I prefer to use psychological testing to be sure my assessment of the client's situation is supported by the best available science. When I conduct psychotherapy, I know it can only be effective when I view the client as presenting many intricate problems that must be fully understood, so each client's issues are approached as scientific hypotheses that guide therapy, which guide my specific interventions, but is always open to revision as new life history information or psychological data becomes available. Since I have trained numerous therapists and continue researching and publishing in the field, my clients are assured they receiving the most effective evidence-based interventions. If you do see me, you can be confident that you will be unconditionally accepted in a safe and comfortable therapeutic relationship with every effort being made to help you.

Denver, Colorado therapist: Greta Carlson, Psy.D., ABPP, psychologist
Integrative

Greta Carlson, Psy.D., ABPP

Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Welcome! I'm a clinical psychologist with nearly a decade of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. I see children, adolescents, and young adults aged 5 and up with depression, chronic PTSD and dissociation, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. My clients present with a range of concerns, including anxiety, ruminative thoughts, shame feelings, and perfectionism. Having had extensive experience in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and Trauma Focused-CBT, I take an integrative approach when working with clients-I collaborate with you and your child to tailor your goals and address needs for treatment. While we would tailor treatment to further draw out and address your goals, I work to help you get to know yourself-to name and regulate a range of feelings, identify negative beliefs about yourself, others, or the world, and find healthier ways to cope with strong feelings. I also consider how your past history is relevant to your present relationships. The decision to seek therapy is such a courageous one. I think, oftentimes, we can tell ourselves that we can "think through" or "solve problems" entirely on our own-it's so difficult to reach out for support! I work at a pace that feels manageable for you or your child, focusing on creating a warm and collaborative alliance for therapy and assessment.
