Hope I. Hills, Ph.D.
Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist in NC, Authorized PsyPact Practitioner in 40 states
I have been a licensed therapist since 1987 when I was a professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri. I've continued to help my clients learn to love and accept themselves, whether in individual or couples therapy, executives and their teams, or women in prison. I pay attention to Body, Mind, and Spirit as we work, as I believe we must recognize the interaction of all three. Clients comment that despite feeling safe with me, they feel challenged to face themselves.

My evaluation and consultation philosophy is that all individuals have the ability to overcome challenges and reach their unique potential. I strive to help those I work with understand their strengths, gifts, and challenges in order to meet their goals and develop a realistic plan to move forward. My practice motto is to providing clarity to grow, bloom, and thrive. Thanks for stopping to look at my page! I am a licensed psychologist who loves to work with clients who are working through life changes, issues related to identity, career and work issues, anxiety and depression, relationship experiences among monogamous, poly/ENM/CNM people, LGBTQIA+ clients, and more. For both those who are new to therapy, and those who've had lots of experience, I try to build a supportive, respectful, and compassionate environment where we have the opportunity to explore solutions to problems as they uniquely impact your life.

Accepting new clients! Are you or your child finding it hard to cope with a medical diagnosis? Are you noticing changes where your child is having more tantrums, cannot follow instructions unless you repeat yourself, seems to be overthinking, spends more time in their room, or blows up over small things? We can work together to use evidence-based solutions to improve stress, change behaviors, and help create a hopeful future for you and/or your child. I have worked with many youth, adults, and families around healing from burnout, finding space for self-care when there's little time, and dealing with larger social stressors related to race/ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

Meandering to Change, LLC
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hello,
I see therapy as a casual conversation with a purpose. That purpose is my supporting another through the different ways I can find the way to listen to someone’s narrative. When exploring with another person about their narrative, the therapy is not gained and learned in a straight line but a meandering one.
Therapy should not be alone about symptoms and diagnoses. Therapy and the process involves someone being supported about all problems no matter the shape, size, or the intensity of such problems.
People have an image or an idea of what therapy is, but therapy is about anything and everything. Therapy is about opportunities and possibilities. It’s not only about problems symptoms or trauma. Therapy is a tool used to connect a person to be able to share themselves their story their narrative. Therapy is what someone wants it to be.
