Patriarchy hurts everyone! I am particularly interested in helping women and non-binary folks opt out of harmful misogynistic cultural standards. I'm interested in truth and justice for survivors of violence. I do not specialize in working with women of color who have been harmed by systemic racism and oppression, but I recognize my privilege as a white-bodied woman and am working towards understanding my part in a broken system.

Are you struggling with finding your sense of purpose as a woman, partner or caregiver? Are you finding it challenging to transition in life with relationships, childbirth or loss, parenting struggles or starting a new phase of life? Do you have trauma that is hindering your ability to flourish as a caregiver, lover, or individual?
If any of these sounds familiar to you, it could be time to explore counseling. You deserve to be happy and put yourself first for a change.
As we go through the phases of life, we can lose a part of ourselves without realizing it until we are faced with reality. It’s important to get your sense of worth back and take control of your life. We will discuss and resolve issues of communication, self esteem, self concept, and any barriers that may affect your abilities to parent, be a partner, or a caregiver.

Perhaps my most significant specialization is in working with women who present with the Female Athlete Triad--a combination of over-training plus under-nourishing can lead to repetitive injuries. What the triad does not acknowledge is the mental health component--typically the struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, control, and fear of failure. I enjoy helping women connect their thoughts and feelings, examining how they impact eating and exercise behaviors. Please feel free to reach out to me to learn more about my approach to treating women's health issues.
