Depresive disorders come in many packaages, ranging from periodic, seasonal bouts of depresion to chronic, Major Depression diagnoses. Exogenous depression is considered to be a result of envirionmental/experiential forces, whereas, endogenous depression may be related to a genetic predisposition. Some depressions are a combination of both of these factors. Psychotherapy and medications are the usual course of treatment.
