Anxiety and fear is at the root of nearly all our maladaptive behaviors (think - fight, flight or freeze). Our brains our wired to respond to change as negative, so even when we're following our dreams, anxiety and fear can get in the way. And when we're lost, anxiety and fear can cement us in place. But there's hope! Discovering the root cause of our anxiety and fear through talk therapy can lead to deeper understanding of these emotions, and with deeper understanding comes the ability to seek targeted solutions.

I use DBT which provides tools to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies for managing intense emotions, and enhance mindfulness to stay present and grounded in the face of anxiety-provoking situations.
People suffering with anxiety may feel as if this anxiety has taken control of their life. But would you feel better knowing that people who experience anxiety actually have a very powerful mind that is working very well. However it has been working to amplify anxiety. When you learn NLP techniques along with evidence based research on what works, you can turn what used to feel out of control into a powerful skillset of feeling in control. If you suffer with anxiety, book a session to learn how these tools and techniques can help you.
The two primary therapeutic approaches that I use with clients are both evidence-based treatments for reducing symptoms of anxiety. Accelerated Resolution Therapy often reduces the negative emotional reaction to anxiety triggers in an average of 1 to 5 sessions. Cognitive Behavior Therapy helps clients identify and replace the unhelpful thinking that leads to uncomfortable feelings and less preferred actions. Together, these two approaches can help bring faster relief from anxiousness and "clear your headspace" to learn new strategies and tools for helping yourself cope better with life's challenges.
