Having experienced how mental health can create life-altering implications on people in my family, I have dedicated my life to trying to help as many people and families have the support and resources needed to experience growth, hope, and healing. Often I work with clients who express frustration with past counseling experiences being stale and feeling as though they talked and talked but never experienced real change. Knowing from my training and experience that most people can experience the type of change they desire, I approach counseling as a guide to help those I work with discover what has been holding them back and a tangible plan to experience their goals. Professionally, I have advanced training and experience in treating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and insomnia. For six years, I worked for the VA, helping veterans heal the invisible wounds of combat and other traumatic experiences. Now, I offer therapy to the wider community, including veterans.
