Welcome! I'm Suzanne Kocher, an EMDR and IFS Trained, Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor. I have served in the Behavioral Health field for over 15 years, in many different settings. I am honored and humbled to help my clients on their journey to claiming peace and calm in their lives. When you work with me, you will find that you are in a safe and non-judgmental space. Some might describe me as mature or wise. I have a colorful history full of life experiences and I have the ability to connect with people on their level, whatever their experiences may be. I love to empower people, especially women. I know life can be overwhelming, and I have techniques to help people create and utilize coping skills that will work for them. Some people just need to be heard, and I am an excellent listener.

Thank you for entering my counseling profile. I encourage people through partnership, mutual respect, trust, and goal alignment. I offer non-biased psychotherapy to clients ages four and up and from various backgrounds. We will work together to achieve your individual goals. We will consider a range of influences such as (1) your own motivation and biological environment; (2) your immediate surroundings including your family; and (3) your interactions within larger environmental systems consisting of society and culture. By using this holistic approach, I am certain that a positive change will take place.

San Antonio is one of the largest military cities in the country, home to the Joint Base San Antonio installations at Fort Sam Houston, Lackland, and Randolph, generating exceptionally strong demand for therapists specializing in military trauma, PTSD, moral injury, and the challenges of military family life including frequent relocation and deployment stress.
