I have also walked the path of choosing to adopt, the challenges and delays that come with the adoption process, along with the joy of becoming a parent. Along with the choice to be a parent via adoption, I've learned to support my child in all the challenges they experience as a child of adoption, and learn to recognize and support all children who find families via adoption and supporting them with the difficult past they experienced in finding their forever family, and adjusting to their new family. These journeys to family-building are a different path and all deserve respect and support.
