My first step is understanding what is bringing you to therapy. Then, I focus on learning about your life and all the different parts that impact you: your specific brain, your family, your work, which parts of your identity matter most to you, and your social and economic stressors. And as I understand you better, I offer support as well as interventions to move you toward your goals. As a single parent of 3 boys with varying presentations of ADHD and autism, I am very familiar with parenting stresses. I have worked in a variety of positions, from education to foster care to Medicaid services, and I use all of those experiences to support my clients.
