Katie Feder
Registered Psychotherapist, PACFA Registered Psychotherapist, BSc Hons Psychology
Reconnect with yourself and restore inner steadiness. Many women reach a point where the way they’ve been living is no longer sustainable—for their energy, wellbeing, or the life they are ready to step into.
I’m a psychotherapist supporting women who are navigating emotional trauma, burnout, and the impact of difficult relational experiences. Often this includes patterns of overgiving, self-abandonment, and feeling disconnected from themselves.
My focus is on helping you make sense of what you’ve been through and understand the patterns that have shaped how you relate to yourself. This is not about becoming someone new, but about reconnecting with who you are beneath what you’ve had to adapt to.

Tawney Bevilacqua
Registered Psychotherapist, Bachelor of Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy, Bachelor of Gender Studies/Creative Writing
I believe that we are living in challenging times, full of uncertainty. The issues that are arising in each of us are part of the broader climate of our world, and can be incredibly difficult to move through without a witness and a skilful supporter. I have trained in order to be with others as they meet with difficulty. My love of therapy is about the openings it provides us in accessing a more meaningful, richer experience of life. It takes incredible courage to encounter the depths inside oneself and it is always a privilege to be alongside someone in this process.

John Castleford
Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring.
I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders.
We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control.
Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression.
Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was.
I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.

Perth is the most geographically isolated major city in the world, and this remoteness contributes to distinct mental health challenges — including elevated rates of depression and difficulty accessing specialist care readily available elsewhere in Australia. The city's economy has historically been tied to mining, and therapists regularly work with the psychological effects of fly-in-fly-out work arrangements, including relationship strain, parental absence, and the boom-bust cycle's impact on employment stability and identity. Fiona Stanley Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital provide institutional mental health resources alongside a substantial private practice community serving Subiaco, Fremantle, and the inner suburbs. Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plans provide partial subsidies for eligible residents, and telehealth plays an important role in extending care across Western Australia's enormous geography.
