Hi, I’m Michael, known as Mick. I offer online EMDR therapy for adults and couples therapy using the Gottman Method, across Australia in English or Arabic. I am Perth-based. You may be looking for help with a particular experience, or noticing that anxiety, grief, self-doubt or relationship difficulties keep returning. Perhaps you understand some of what is happening but still find it difficult to respond differently. We begin by exploring what troubles you, how it affects daily life and what you want from therapy. I am an Accredited Social Worker and the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Social Worker of the Year 2025. My practice brings together professional training, attention to culture and relationships, and lived experience of caregiving, migration and suicide bereavement. There is room to discuss family expectations, identity, faith and responsibilities alongside your emotional wellbeing. You do not need to leave those parts of your life outside the conversation. I work collaboratively and welcome questions about the approach, the pace and whether our sessions are helping. We review what you need as the work develops.
