My focus is on supporting clients as they explore their stories, challenges, and patterns of behavior. Whether you’re beginning to uncover the source of your struggles or have been engaged in this work for some time, I take a flexible approach. I adjust to where you are in the process, using strategies that fit your individual needs. Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences—looking closely at attachment, thinking patterns, relationships, and different parts of your identity. Along the way, we can also integrate practical skills and tools to strengthen daily coping and overall well-being.
I work with adult and older adult individuals, with an emphasis on trauma (from longstanding or intense trauma to highly stressful life events), relationship concerns, attachment difficulties, stress, anger, anxiety, and depression. I also specialize with the unique challenges that come with caregiving, individuals that are experiencing divorce/contemplating divorce, and children of parents with personality disorder traits. *I do not do couples or family therapy at this time.*

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: My therapeutic approach draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based methods. Much of this work involves exploring your inner world together to uncover the deeper roots of pain and struggle. I hold the belief that every part of us—whether we label it “good” or “bad”—has a purpose. Even the most difficult emotions, symptoms, and behaviors carry valuable information. Often, these more challenging aspects of ourselves emerged at one point in time to help us cope.
I place great importance on understanding and honoring these parts of the self, learning how to work with them instead of fighting against them. My approach emphasizes building empathy and compassion for ourselves while accessing the innate resilience and capacity for growth that exists within everyone.
As we explore your many layers, I also focus on the role of attachment and its impact on mental health. Profound healing can occur when we create a clearer, more coherent story of our childhood experiences—both internal and external—and how they shape our emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being as adults. In addition, I believe it’s vital to recognize and process any trauma, past or present, that may still be held in the body or mind. Part of our work together is releasing the hold these experiences have on you so they no longer define or overwhelm you.
At the same time, I value the use of practical tools to navigate day-to-day challenges. I integrate strategies and coping skills that target unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors, providing support for managing symptoms and moving toward greater balance and well-being.
