My interest in psychology began early in life. As a child, I found myself fascinated by people, how they think, why they behave the way they do, and how relationships shape our experiences.
This curiosity eventually led me to study psychology and work with children with developmental delays and their families. Through that work, I saw firsthand the profound impact that support, resilience, and connection can have on people’s lives.
Today, as a therapist, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether you are navigating emotional challenges, exploring personal growth, or working on strengthening your relationships, therapy can provide a supportive environment to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I integrate evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs. My work often draws from:
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – identifying and shifting patterns in thoughts and behaviours
• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) – building emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – helping clients develop psychological flexibility and values-driven action
• Relational and attachment-informed approaches – understanding how relationships shape our emotional world
Through these approaches, clients develop tools to:
• regulate emotions more effectively
• improve communication in relationships
• challenge unhelpful thinking patterns
• navigate stress and uncertainty
• strengthen confidence and resilience
