Treatment Approach

  • Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
Approach Description: My approach is integrative and grounded in relational work, with an emphasis on understanding underlying patterns rather than focusing solely on symptoms. I often draw from approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), supporting clients in exploring different parts of themselves and developing greater internal awareness. Therapy is collaborative, paced, and focused on both insight and meaningful change.

Rebekah Wright Practice Description
My practice is centered on helping clients move beyond managing symptoms toward understanding the underlying patterns that shape how they think, feel, and relate to themselves and others. While many people begin therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low mood, or life transitions, our work often expands into exploring deeper emotional experiences, attachment patterns, and internal conflicts that may be contributing to distress. I take an integrative and relational approach, adapting therapy to the individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. Sessions are paced thoughtfully, allowing space for both reflection and practical change. This may include building emotional awareness, processing difficult experiences, and developing more effective ways of coping and relating. My goal is to provide a steady, respectful space where clients can make sense of their experiences without feeling rushed or reduced to a diagnosis. Over time, this work can support greater clarity, resilience, and a more grounded sense of self. For those who wish, faith can also be thoughtfully incorporated into the therapeutic process.
