The Art Of Healing (She/Her)

Marriage and Family Therapist, RTC, CT
What makes my therapy practice unique is the way I blend clinical skill with real-life understanding. I don’t just offer techniques—I create a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and safe to be yourself. My approach is mindful, trauma-informed, and grounded in emotional awareness and nervous system regulation, helping you not only process what you’ve been through, but also build the tools to move forward with clarity and confidence. As someone who deeply values growth, resilience, and self-connection, I walk alongside my clients in a way that feels supportive, empowering, and real. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for something to shift—even if you can’t fully explain what that is—this is your sign to reach out. You don’t have to wait until things get worse to invest in yourself. Therapy can be the space where you slow down, reconnect, and start creating a life that feels more aligned, peaceful, and intentional.

Treatment Approach

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) A trauma-focused therapy that uses eye movements and imagery to help the brain reframe distressing memories. It often leads to quicker relief from symptoms compared to traditional talk therapy.
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Adlerian Therapy Focuses on understanding a person’s sense of belonging and purpose. It helps people overcome feelings of inferiority and create healthier relationships.
  • Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
  • Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is mindful, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that lasting change happens when you feel safe, understood, and connected to yourself. Rather than focusing on “fixing” you, I work collaboratively with you to build awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns—so you can respond to life with more clarity and intention, instead of reacting from overwhelm. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a strong focus on nervous system regulation and the mind-body connection. This means we don’t just talk about your experiences—we explore how they live in your body, how they shape your responses, and how to gently shift them. Through techniques like mindfulness, breathwork, and emotional regulation strategies, you’ll develop tools to feel more grounded, present, and in control. My work is also deeply relational. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful space for healing, where you can feel seen without judgment and supported without pressure. At the same time, I balance this with practical, real-life application—helping you take what you learn in session and integrate it into your daily life in a way that feels sustainable. Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or simply feeling disconnected, my approach is designed to help you slow down, increase self-awareness, and build a more intentional, aligned way of living. This is therapy that meets you where you are—but also supports you in becoming who you’re ready to be.

The Art Of Healing Practice Details

Therapy Sessions The Art Of Healing Practice Description
My therapy practice is rooted in the belief that healing is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but about reconnecting with who you truly are. I work with individuals who may appear high-functioning on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected internally. Many of my clients are navigating stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or the lingering impact of past experiences, and are ready to move beyond survival mode into a more intentional and fulfilling way of living. My approach is mindful, trauma-informed, and deeply relational. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while also focusing on nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and mind-body connection. Together, we explore patterns, beliefs, and responses that may be keeping you stuck, while building practical tools to help you feel more grounded, present, and in control of your life. I also incorporate elements of breathwork, mindfulness, and reflective practices to support lasting change—not just temporary relief. What sets my practice apart is the balance between depth and practicality. Our work is not only about processing your experiences, but also about helping you apply what you learn in real, everyday situations. I create a space that feels calm, supportive, and non-judgmental, while also gently challenging you to grow in ways that feel aligned and sustainable. I offer virtual sessions across Alberta, allowing you to access therapy in a way that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle. Whether you are new to therapy or returning with a deeper level of readiness, this space is designed for you to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with yourself. This is not about becoming someone new—it’s about coming home to yourself, with more awareness, more intention, and a greater sense of peace.
