Treatment Approach
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My work is psychodynamic and relational at its core: we look at how your history shaped who you are now, and the relationship between us is part of how change happens. I also use EMDR (EMDRIA-approved basic training) to process distressing memories, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to work with the different parts of your inner experience, and somatic awareness to bring the body into the work.

Something keeps pulling at you. Maybe it is an old grief you never quite finished with, or an anxiety that spikes before you can name why. You function well by most measures. And still, there is a persistent sense that you are operating from a smaller version of yourself.
That is the kind of thing people bring to me.
Sessions are unhurried. I tend not to direct from the front. Instead, we follow what your own reactions and feelings are already showing you: the emotional charge in a memory, the part of you that shuts down mid-conversation, the pattern that keeps returning even when you understand it perfectly well. That material is the work. We move through it together, at a pace that feels right to you.
I do my best work with people who are motivated to change and who are willing to treat their feelings as information rather than problems to suppress.
