Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Intersubjective Therapy Explores the shared emotional experience between therapist and client. It emphasizes connection and mutual understanding.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Helps clients challenge and replace irrational beliefs. It is an action-oriented approach for lasting change.
- Reality Therapy / Choice Theory Focuses on present choices and taking responsibility for actions. It helps clients create more fulfilling relationships and lives.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: Although I utilize many theories and techniques, my approach is primarily based on the ideas that you are unique and capable, and how and what we think determines our beliefs, feelings and actions. By changing our thinking patterns we can ultimately change our lives.

There are many reasons people begin psychotherapy. You may believe what you are experiencing isn’t serious enough or that you should be able to handle things yourself; this can leave you in a very lonely place. The truth is that no reason is too small or unimportant for psychotherapy. We all experience times when we can use some extra support. I understand this and that acknowledging it can be frightening, overwhelming, and freeing all at the same time. I work to build a strong relationship with each client, one that promotes trust, awareness, and understanding and I'd love to help.
Through our collaboration and the use of complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we can work together to uncover and change thinking and behavior patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more rewarding, meaningful life. Whether you're looking to better understand yourself, for some extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, or you're ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
