Allan Mouw Therapy Practice Description
Our work together will be collaborative, tailored according to your individual goals and needs. No matter what comes up, we can handle it as a team. During our time together, I will actively engage with you during our sessions, listening and providing interpretation, reflection and feedback on what I hear and see. I am also a 12 year member of Alanon and bring a deep understanding of 12-step work to sessions.
I trained at Open Paths Counseling Center from April 2019 – November 2021 where I saw diverse clients and ran a support/process group. In addition, I went through Basic EMDR Training through EMDRIA, have experience with Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and am a pre-licensed member of CAMFT.
Prior to my career as a therapist, I was a corporate/securities attorney for many years at several global law firms and at a technology company through its initial public offering. I have shifted my focus so that I can help those struggling in their lives. I am a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (#118846) under the supervision of Dr. Zari Hedayat, PhD, LMFT (#22248).
