I became a psychologist because I believe people deserve more than simply learning how to cope with what hurts. They deserve the opportunity to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. My work is centered around helping adults virtually across North Carolina who have experienced trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, and difficult life experiences understand themselves with greater compassion and move toward the life they want to create and experience living.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel truly seen and understood while also having a psychologist who can provide the knowledge, structure, and guidance needed to support meaningful change.
I specialize in helping clients work through the lasting effects of traumatic experiences, including PTSD, complex trauma (C-PTSD), anxiety, depression, grief, burnout and chronic stress, and major life transitions. I use evidence-based approaches that are proven to work while honoring that every person’s healing process looks different. Your experiences, your goals, and your chosen pace matter.
I believe therapy works best when it is a partnership. My role is not to tell you who to become, but to help you better understand yourself, challenge the beliefs that may be holding you back, and build the confidence and skills to move forward.
Your story is uniquely your own—your therapy should be too.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: My treatment approach is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed care while recognizing that healing is a deeply personal process. I believe effective therapy requires both compassion and collaboration to create a space where you feel understood while also gaining the tools and skills needed to create meaningful change. I prioritize providing both a safe place to explore difficult experiences and a pathway toward growth. Together, we will work to help you better understand yourself, reduce the impact of trauma on your life, and build the confidence and skills needed to move forward.
I specialize in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for PTSD that focuses on understanding how trauma has influenced the way you view yourself, others, and the world. Through CPT, we work together to identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs, process the impact of traumatic experiences, and develop a more balanced understanding of your story.
While CPT is the foundation of my trauma work, I take an individualized approach by incorporating strategies from other evidence-based therapies when appropriate. Treatment is tailored to your unique experiences, goals, strengths, and readiness for change rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

Carolina Trauma Recovery and Psychological Services is a virtual private practice serving clients of North Carolina specializing in trauma recovery, PTSD and C-PTSD treatment, and helping adults heal from experiences that continue to impact their lives. I provide personalized, evidence-based therapy for individuals navigating PTSD, complex trauma (C-PTSD), anxiety, depression, traumatic grief, chronic stress and burnout, and difficult life transitions.
My practice was intentionally designed to provide a different kind of therapy experience—one that prioritizes depth, personalization, and meaningful progress. Rather than offering traditional 50-minute appointments, I exclusively provide 90-minute extended therapy sessions, allowing the time and space needed to slow down, process what matters most, and engage in deeper therapeutic work without feeling rushed.
I specialize in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for PTSD, and offer both ongoing extended therapy sessions and structured CPT intensives for individuals seeking a more focused treatment experience. These services are designed for adults who are ready to better understand how trauma has shaped their thoughts, emotions, and relationships while developing skills to move forward with greater confidence and freedom.
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I believe your story is uniquely your own, and your therapy should be too. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful changes in your life.
